8 Week Wheel and Hand-building Pottery Class

Under the guidance of Marilyn Barbe, owner of Ailsa Craig Village Pottery, participants will discover the many possibilities of working with clay. marilyn brings a wealth of pottery knowledge, experience, and creative ideas to each class, creating a relaxed and encouraging environment where everyone can learn and experiment.

Throughout the session, you will have opportunities to:

• Experience the potter’s wheel and try your hand at creating forms on the wheel.
• Construct your own teapot using templates and guided techniques.
• Create unique forms for decoration and explore the possibilities of underglaze transfers.
• Develop new pottery skills while experimenting with different approaches to form and surface decoration.
• Take inspiration from your own ideas and from the many possibilities clay has to offer.
• Whether you are new to pottery or have some experience working with clay, this course will give you the fundamentals with opportunity to learn, create, experiment, and have fun in a supportive studio environment.
